Best Easter Egg Hunt Locations And Events In Los Angeles County
Easter is just around the corner, which means it’s time for Easter egg hunts. Not surprisingly, there are activities all over Los Angeles that promise to entertain both children and adults. In this article, we venture to discuss the most exciting of those events.
The Los Angeles Zoo’s Big Bunny’s Spring Fling
Coordinating with the Botanical Gardens, the Los Angeles Zoo is providing three days of “Egg-citing” activities between Friday, April 14 and Sunday, April 16, 11 am through 4 pm on each of those days. As expected from the Zoo, this Easter event incorporates a wide variety of animals by giving children the opportunity to examine eggs of different animals. Children will also have the opportunity to learn at the “EGG-ucation Station”, where they will learn about bunnies (with viewing available at 10:45, 11:45, and 12:45). The event also includes seed-planting, crafts, face painting, musical entertainment, a bubble-making experience, and more.

Egg Bowl At The Rose Bowl Stadium
On Saturday, April 15 between 11 am and 3 pm, the City of Pasadena will host its annual Egg Bowl event. The event includes egg hunts (featuring over 70,000 eggs), bunny ear contests, arts and crafts, and puppet shows. The event is free of charge. For those looking to make a longer day of the event, they can purchase VIP Bunny Brunch tickets, which also includes a VIP Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m.

Downtown’s 9th Annual Easter Fest
The New City Church of Los Angeles will be hosting Downtown Los Angeles’s 9th annual Easter Fest on Sunday, April 16 between 2 pm and 5 pm at Grand Hope Park. Entry of $5 per person includes egg hunts, face painting, games, bounce houses, arts and crafts, book readings, popcorn, and more. The added bonus of the event is that a portion of the proceeds go to assist ministries in Skid Row helping homeless families and children. This event was selected as one of the best Easter events for children in Los Angeles by KCBS-TV.

Malibu City’s Annual Easter Hoppening Event
The City of Malibu will be hosting its annual Easter Hoppening event on Friday, April 14 betwee 3 pm and 6 pm at Malibu Bluffs Park. Admission is free, and includes egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny, art activities, gymnastics, and more. Additional activities, such as bounce houses and face painting, are also available at an additional fee of $1-$15.

The Queen Mary’s Easter Family Fun Event
The Queen Mary in Long Beach will be providing visitors of all ages entertainment on Easter Sunday. Champagne Brunch is available for the adults (including both classic and contemporary gourmet dishes), while children will have the opportunity to enjoy an Easter egg hunt, a petting zoo, face painting, games, balloon twisting, and more.

Easter On The Farm At Underwood Family Farms
For those willing to make the trek out to Moorpark, a visit to the Underwood Family Farms is always with the trip. This weekend, between April 14 and April 16, Underwood Family Farms will be hosting its Springtime Easter Festival. The expansive 200 acre farm will provide its normal opportunities to pick a variety of fruits, and will also offer tractor rides, an animal show, photo opportunities, a chicken show, sack races, and much, much more.
