Los Angeles Areas With The Most Never-Married Residents

For some people, the percentage of residents who are “single”, as opposed to families, is an important factor. For others, the areas with the most and fewest single residents is simply interesting information. Predictably, areas that are close to college campuses, such as UCLA and USC, tend to rank among the highest in terms of percentage of residents who have never been married.
Without further ado, the below chart lists the ten areas in Los Angeles with the highest and lowest percentages of residents who are older than fifteen, male, and never married. The full list can be found here.

Comparing the two charts, it’s evident that University Park and Westwood are among the highest in terms of percentage of male and female residents who are older than 15 and have never been married. This is likely attributable to their proximity to the UCLA and USC campuses. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Palos Verdes / Rolling Hills area are among the lowest in terms of percentage of male and female residents who are older than 15 and have never been married. Not surprisingly, those areas are also among the highest in terms of average age of residents, as shown here.
