O.J. Simpson’s Former Miami Home Listed For $1.3 Million

O.J. Simpson is likely thrilled about his upcoming parole, but he is going to need to come up with some serious cash to re-acquire his former Miami mansion.  O.J. originally purchased the home in 2000 for $575,000.00.  After being sent to prison in 2008, JP Morgan foreclosed on the home in 2012, and subsequently sold it to Global Rental E & P in 2014 for $513,000.00.  Now, after substantially investing in the property to remodel it, the property is available on the market for a cool $1.3 million.

The 4,148 square foot, 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home was originally built in 1953 and sits on 1.65 acres of land.  In addition to the home itself, the property boasts a guest home, pool, and basketball court.  It is located in the prestigious Killian neighborhood, and is located in the highly regarded Air Base Elementary School District.  The home was originally listed in November of 2016 for $1.475 million, but after several price cuts the price was reduced on July 9, 2017 to $1,299,900.00.  Query whether the connection to O.J. Simpson has had an impact on the value of the home.

With O.J. Simpson being set to be released on parole as early as October of this year, it is entirely possible that he could make a move for the home upon his release.  That will of course largely depend on whether he has sufficient capital and/or credit to make the purchase.
