Persistence and relationships can often pay off in a real estate transaction, particularly when representing a buyer. This beautiful 1920s Spanish home was listed by an agent with whom we had previously worked and developed a good working relationship. The seller received multiple aggressive offers after just several days on the market. The seller ultimately decided to accept another buyer’s offer. However, we stayed in touch with the listing agent and continued to express our buyer’s interest. Ultimately, the first buyer had a change of heart and decided to cancel escrow, which presented an opportunity for our buyer to secure the property. We quickly opened escrow with the seller without the property going back on the market, and after inspections we were also able to negotiate a credit for our buyer client. A short three weeks later, our buyer client can now call this beautiful property on W. 12th Street in Los Angeles home.
